NWBC Up and Running, NCRC $150 Million Equity Partnership, Upcoming Business Classes
1. National Women's Business Center's Up and Running Program Starts July 11 Up and Running is a 13-session program created to educate and inform the new or prospective business owner. Participants will receive essential business know-how through this comprehensive course taught by successful business owners or small business professionals. These instructors, who are, in effect, business mentors, will help participants identify pitfalls common to new businesses, thereby minimizing risks and maximizing chances of success. Workshop members are also guided by NWBC staff members who are able to provide further resources to understanding business ownership issues above and beyond the course. This program is for new and prospective full-time or part-time business owners-women and men who have started a business within the last six months or are planning to start a business within the upcoming year and are clearly focused on what they want to do. Location All interested Up and Running candidates are required to have an intake interview. Attendance at the Introduction to Business Ownership seminar can be substituted for the intake interview. To register for the seminar or schedule an interview, please contact Crystal Luckey at the NWBC office at (202) 785-4922. Visit NWBC. 2.
